Adopt an Environmental Policy Statement

Exquisite Property Services (EPS) is committed to property cleaning and preservation services that are high quality, affordable, and eco-friendly. We are committed to cutting the costs of property care while protecting the earth. The Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for EPS prescribes responsible property maintenance practices that seeks to lower our environmental footprint and encourage environmental justice. These procedures further serve to ensure that EPS remain in full compliance with or exceed local, state, and federal waste regulations.

Identify a Sustainability Leader / Create a Sustainability Team

Exquisite Property Services (EPS) created the role of Sustainability Officer (SO). SO is responsible for modeling and advocating a culture of sustainability and innovation of best practices. SO develops, implements, tracks and maintain eco-friendly policies that are in compliance with local, state, and federal waste regulations. SO also develops, implements, tracks and maintain employee training regarding all policies, including the dissemination and education of all updated local, state, and federal regulations. SO attends and documents County’s Solid Waste Advisory Council (SWAC) meetings and other sustainability forums for industry updates, resources, and best practices. SO responsible for identifying, developing, and analyzing sustainability and environmental justice research for best practices. SO monitors and document employee and organizational compliance with regulatory standards.

Develop an Environmentally Preferable Purchasing Plan

Exquisite Property Services (EPS) prioritizes procurement of cleaning/janitorial supplies and equipment that are eco-friendly. Priority is given to procurement of products that are approved by certifying agencies including EPA, ISO, Safer Choice, and Green Seal. A Chemical Management System is used to develop, implement, and monitor formal processes to properly store, handle, and use products (as recommended by the EPA to minimize and prevent exposure to chemicals). Procurement of office supplies and other equipment to follow the same priority with local, environmentally friendly companies having priority in our procurement decisions.

Provide Environmentally Preferable Products and Services

Exquisite Property Services (EPS) prioritizes the use of cleaning/janitorial supplies and equipment that are eco-friendly. Some cleaning agents are associated with hazardous chemicals released into the environment and can cause air and water pollution, skin and eye irritation, and respiratory issues. All cleaning products used at worksites are environmentally friendly and cost effective.

Waste


Waste Reuse Practices

Exquisite Property Services (EPS) primary focus is our Solid Waste Diversion Plan which is aimed to divert waste from landfills to be reused and recycled. Where possible, waste is sorted with priority given to repurposing, reusing, and recycling, respectively. Customers are encouraged to reduce their cleaning costs and protect the environment by donating unwanted items to qualified 501(C)(3) organizations in exchange for tax deductible donation receipts. Customers are provided resources on recycling and incentivized by service discounts for joining personal and community diversion campaigns. MONEY SAVED: $800

Water Conservation Efforts

Exquisite Property Services (EPS) invests in state-of-the-art cleaning systems that use minimal water. Washrooms, commercial fleets, lawn care and many other water-consuming services are now provided while conserving water.

Support Community Initiatives

Exquisite Property Services believe that corporate engagement is our responsibility. Healthy communities require the commitment of all stakeholders, including business leaders to share accountability for our neighborhoods and forge relationships that foster mutual trust. Our corporate engagement is focused on supporting social and environmental justice projects seeking to improve the quality of life of residents in historically disinvested communities. Items that can be repurposed are donated to identified 501(C)(3) organizations in need of in-kind resources.
