Key Sustainable Actions

Waste

Waste Reduction Practices

For restaurant staff a water dispenser and refillable containers are provided instead of purchasing bottled water. On average we avoid having to purchase approximately 600 12 oz bottles per month.

Saved: $4,800

Waste Reuse Practices

Daddy Matty's purchased all of their kitchen equipment second hand as well as their smoker. The restaurant is furnished with recycled church pews, table and chairs, including high tops and stools from an old Applebees.

Food Waste Reduction Practices

Daddy Matty's has been using Java's Compost service to recycle all of the food waste from the restaurant since September of 2021. Since that time, 11,341 pounds of food has been diverted from the landfill.

Value: 11,341 lbs

Other

Daddy Matty's BBQ uses compostable takeout containers and utensils.
