Colonial Bowling and Entertainment

All of the lighting at the Colonial Bowling & Entertainment is on electronic timers, to ensure minimum energy use when the bowling lanes are closed.

Colonial Bowling and Entertainment also recycled materials during its 2012 renovations, including the original pinsetters for the bowling lanes.

Colonial Bowling & Entertainment recycles all cooking oil used on site. Since 2012, Colonial has diverted over 39 Tons of cooking waste from being disposed in a landfill - this is an average of 7.98 Tons per year.

During Colonial Bowling & Entertainment's 2012 renovation many elements of the original building were repurposed, rather than sent to the landfill. The original bowling lanes at Colonial were made into reclaimed wooden benches. This effort was spearheaded by a local nonprofit that works with disadvantaged children, the removal of the bowling lanes was managed by the organization as part of a work skills program. Additionally, Colonial refurbished the original business sign and now it is on display with the entertainment complex.

Colonial Bowling & Entertainment recognizes that many of its employees have challenges in juggling work schedules and finding adequate childcare. To that end, Colonial has a child friendly work environment, and allows its employees to bring children to work. This has helped to create a family first work culture and supported the well being of its employees.
