Waste

Waste Reduction Practices

Share My Meals provides meals in reusable containers to avoid packaging waste. These containers (either 1/2 pan catering trays or jars) are used by food donors to provide meals that are delivered to food-insecure people in communities throughout NJ. These containers are then recovered, sanitized, and reused.

Community

Serve Customers with Disabilities

Share my meals delivers meals to those who are homebound including seniors. Many of those we serve have disabilities.

Support Community Initiatives

Support those who are food insecure in our community through meal recovery and recovery of produce from local farms. By working with local farms we can provide those in our community who are in need with fresh produce.

Adopt a Cause or Project in your community

Work to bring about awareness of the impact of both food insecurity on our society and food waste on our environment. Work to be ambassadors to reducing/eliminating both.
